A brief history of how Magic Cat Tattoo came to be. Get the story below.
Hi! My name is Chris Raelinski, and I enjoy helping people when it comes to their tattooing needs through each step of the process. I started my apprenticeship in February of 2013 at Harry’s Tattoo in Boyertown, Pa. After dropping out of college, I started dedicating all my time to learning this new (to me) craft and fell in love with the mystery that is tattooing. In 2017, I had a wonderful opportunity to work in South Jersey at Mr. Blue Sky Tattoo, and spent three and a half years there before opening Magic Cat Tattoo in the Poconos. Here, I’ve built a calm, comfortable space for people from all walks of life.
Over the years, I've become obsessed with the nuts and bolts of tattooing and enjoy the constant problem-solving that comes with the craft. After several years of tattoo conventions and “traveling,” opening Magic Cat Tattoo has given me the opportunity to adjust my schedule to meet my clients’ needs, whether by appointment or walk-in. When I’m not tattooing, I’m painting flash to fill in the blank spaces on the wall at the shop. I like to keep a revolving door of paintings, and most everything is for sale.
